For Winterfest 2012, PennSoil RC&D designed and created a geocaching geocoin that commemorates Winterfest 2012 with an amiable Polar Bear on one side (complete with a red lifesaver around his middle) for the Polar Plunge; and a dog team and musher depicting Mid-distance musher Al Tarr on the flip side commemorating 33 years of the Jim Lobdell Sled Dog Races.  Newer coins for 2013 and 2014 have also been minted.

There are a limited number of coins; only 400 were made. Donations for the coins are tax deductible.  For more information, please visit the Winterfest Geocaching page.

The Jim Lobdell Memorial Sled Dog Races volunteers are also selling Winterfest T-shirts to raise money for the races. The shirts are already on sale for $15 per shirt, and will be available during Winterfest at Pavilions #1 and #2.
