Warren County Winterfest is the largest winter event in the Pennsylvania Wilds region.

Most Winterfest activities have been put on hold for 2018, due to construction work (dam rehabilitation) at Chapman State Park. Winterfest is tentatively planning a relaunch in 2019.

The Jim Lobdell Memorial Sled Dog Races will be held on-schedule for 2018, but the race course has been reversed. The new Start/Finish Line for the races will be held at the western terminus of U.S. Forest Service Road 119, where it meets the Economite Road near the Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch near Tidioute, PA.

Traditionally, the sled dog activities start Friday morning with the Mid-Distance race from the Economite end of FR 119 to the back-end of Chapman State Park and back. The sled dog activity continues Saturday and Sunday with shorter sprint races, ski-joring and canicross on the first five miles of FR 119. This general schedule of races will continue for 2018. Registration for the races will be handled through the race announcement on Sled Dog Central.

The Lobdell Canine Weight Pull will also be held for 2018, but will be located at Hickory Creek Wilderness Ranch.

See you at the Ranch!
