Cardboard Box Derby & Sled Riding Hill

 

Once again the Warren Y.M.C.A. will host the Cardboard Box Derby and the Sled Riding Races on the Sled Riding Hill.

The Cardboard Box Derby takes place on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 with registration from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Sled Riding Races start 11:00 a.m.  Featured races will be sleds, tubes and snowboards.

Rules are included in the registration form.

• You may participate individually or in teams. Up to 2 participants on a team.

• Teams must register between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at The Sled Riding Hill. Bring completed registration form and cardboard box “vehicle”.

• Each participant is required to sign a release of liability.

• You must be 8 years of age or older to participate. Any minor must have parent signature.

• All cardboard vehicles must be built solely of cardboard, tape, glue, paint and paper. No Industrial pressed cardboard, plastic, wood, staples, rope, twine, or wire will be permitted.

• Cardboard Vehicles must have a front, rear, bottom, and 2 sides. All sides must be a minimum of 4” in height.

• Prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the judges

• All racers must wear a helmet in order to participate

Step 2:  Submit Forms.


You must bring the completed forms with you to the Cardboard Box Derby event on Saturday, Jan. 19 and submit them to the YMCA personnel who manage the competition.
